Anna Eads

June 5, 1932 — January 26, 2014

Anna Eads passed away on January 26, 2014 at the Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rawlins. She was born on June 5, 1932 in Falls City, NE to Orville and Helen Ogg. The family moved to Slater Creek in the Little Snake River Valley in 1937 and later to Wilder, ID where she met Marvin Eads. They were married in Wilder on September 21, 1950. They moved to Rawlins in 1957 where they made their home. Anna was a homemaker until 1965, and then she worked at various hotels as a housekeeper. She also worked at Walter's Bakery and co-managed the Bridger Inn with her husband. They moved to Jackson Hole, WY and worked side by side for 3 years, then came back to Rawlins. She retired in 2000, and became a Senior Companion, which she truly enjoyed, until she suffered a stroke in 2004. Anna enjoyed crocheting, fishing, playing the accordion and piano, visiting family in Idaho, the Colorado Rockies, and anything the color yellow. She is survived by her son George of Rawlins, David and his wife Lyric of Buffalo, WY, daughters Denise and her husband Bob Clark of Rawlins, and Marla and her husband Dan Ford, also of Rawlins, thirteen grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, special friend and companion Martin R. "Rusty" Erickson, and her cockatiel Joey. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin, sister Colleen Kawcak, brother Donald Ogg, and grandson Johnny Roy Eads. Cremation has taken place, and Carbon County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Services will be held at the Rawlins Cemetery, at her request, on May 17, 2014. Time to be announced. Thank you to the special people at the nursing home who took care of Anna for so many years.
