Bess (Betsy) Michie passed away on June 8, 2013 surrounded by her family. Betsy was born in Rock Springs on November 5, 1935 to Harold A. and Bess McKay. She was raised in Rawlins and graduated from Rawlins High School in 1953. She attended the University of Denver Business College and earned her degree. On June 17, 1955 she married David F. Michie, and born to this union were four children. She was a 50 year member of PEO chapter AF, and an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She was past president of RCCW, and was active in the Curisillo movement. Betsy was a loving wife, mother, and was an excellent cook. Betsy was preceded in death by her parents, 3 siblings, and 2 children. She is survived by her husband, Dr. David Michie; her children, Melanie Michie, David F. Michie III, Christopher Michie, and Miriam Fernandez. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
