Calli Hays

Calli Ann Hays,19, was born in Laramie, Wyoming on November 3, 1994. She died unexpectedly on the morning of November 26, 2013 in Rawlins, Wyoming. Calli Ann will always be remembered as a vivacious, spirited young lady who was always on the move. She was kind, warm, and caring. Always dancing, laughing, and caring with and for others. Growing up in Rawlins, Calli Ann graduated from Rawlins Co-op High School in January 2013. Being motivated in athletics, Calli Ann was a member of the RMS basketball team as well as the swim and dive team. Her high school athletic career lead her to be a member of the cheer squad and to being deeply devoted to the swim and dive team. In 2012 Calli Ann's diving scores placed her on the top ten board for high school. Calli Ann was a hard worker; dedicated to her task. She worked at a variety of different places which emulated her free spirit and kindness towards others. Her favorite part of any job was her interaction with others. She was a member of the WHSAA as a swimming and diving official. She was also a registered CNA with the state of Wyoming. Her smile and energy were contagious wherever life lead her. Calli Ann was a true friend willing and ready to help at any time. She was so caring that even at a young age she knew the importance of and was an organ donor. Calli Ann was proceeded in death by her paternal grandfather, Zane R. Hays; her maternal grandparents, Dorothy J. Robinson and Donald L. Robinson all of Sterling, Colorado. Calli Ann is survived by her father Dr. Stephen L. Hays, D.D.S. of Saratoga, WY; her mother Patricia A. Hays of Rawlins, WY; her siblings Richard J. Hays of Saratoga, WY; Carolyn Hays-Burke, Jeff Burke, and nephew Jefferson Thomas Burke III of Houston, TX; Andrew Hays and Jen Nelson of Laramie, WY; Christen Schumacher and Dan Schumacher of Richmond, VA; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. With all of her siblings, prior to her own athletic career, Calli Ann was being toted around the state for numerous athletic events. She was unofficially adopted as the mascot for several of her siblings teams. With this she became the cheerful young lady we know and love. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 1PM on Saturday November 30th at the First Southern Baptist Church at 2005 Darnley Road Rawlins, Wyoming. Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Hays, Jeff Burke, Jefferson Burke, Andrew Hays, Dan Schumacher, Doug Robinson, Cory Robinson, Tim Rider, Austin Rider, Sterling Rider, Brian Majhanovich, Cody Rider, Tom VanHeukelem, Jeffery VanHeukelem, Justin Lappegaard, Joe Noble, Joshua LaForce, Nathan LaForce, Matthew Hays, Adam Hays, Scott Hays and Zach Hays.
