Carol Higby

Carol Joyce Higby, 85, of Saratoga, WY passed away Apr. 26, 2016. She was born Apr. 11, 1931 in Charlevoix, MI to parents Clara (Drenth) and Gerrit Rubingh. Carol graduated from Banks Township High School in Ellsworth, MI and had worked for many years for Alof's Manufacturing Co. in Wyoming, Michigan prior to her retirement. She enjoyed knitting, flower gardening and reading and was an avid dog lover. She is remembered as a private, independent woman who was devoted to her family. Survivors include her sons, Donald Allen (Terry) Higby, Ronald Lee Higby and David Frank (Laura) Higby; and granddaughters, Genevieve Pilar Higby and Miranda Aileen Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Marvin Rubingh; and a sister, Harriet Rubingh Abrahmson. At Carol's request, no services will be held.
