Caroline N. Glassburn, born on May 15, 1950, in Rawlins, Wyoming, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, in her hometown. She was a beloved member of her community, known for her kind and easy-going nature, and her warm, soft-spoken demeanor endeared her to many.
Caroline graduated from Rawlins High School in 1970 and embarked on a fulfilling career that showcased her dedication and work ethic. After high school, she began her journey at Sunnyside Grocery, later moving on to work in the meat department at City Market. Her compassionate spirit guided her throughout her career, culminating in her role at the nursing home, where she worked in housekeeping and finally retiring from the Dietary Department at Memorial Hospital. Caroline's commitment to serving others left a lasting impact on those she encountered throughout her professional life.
Caroline's love for family was evident in the many cherished memories she created. She took great pride in helping to raise her nephew, Trenton, as if he were her own, while her affection extended immensely to all her nieces and nephews. Her nurturing ways complemented her highly intelligent and engaging personality, allowing her to form lasting friendships with ease.
In her leisure time, Caroline found solace in various hobbies and interests. She was particularly fond of her dog Mandy, a White Russian Spitz, who was a constant companion. Gardening and weeding brought her joy, as did spending time at the Hobo pool in Saratoga. Caroline also enjoyed solving jigsaw puzzles and had a special affinity for Disney movies, taking her nephews and nieces—Stacey, Shane, Sheena, and of course, Trenton—to see every Disney release. These treasured experiences exemplified her love for family and her desire to create joyous moments with loved ones.
Caroline is survived by her sister, Betty Smith of Rawlins, Wyoming, and her sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Keevin Mitchell of Hurricane, Utah. She will be remembered by her sister-in-law Sheri Vickery of Rawlins and her brother Robert Glassburn of Portland, Oregon. Caroline is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Carole Glassburn of Fairbanks, Alaska, Ronald and Roxanne Glassburn of Laramie, Wyoming, and an extended family of nephews and nieces, including Arthur, Jason (Jenni), Shane, John, Trenton, Great nephews Nicholas, Joseph, Justin, Brayden, Abigail, Fawn, Misty, Stacey, Crystal, and Sheena, along with her great niece Brynn and many cousins.
