Catherine Lawrence

Catherine Lawrence, resident of Rawlins, Wyoming, passed away on January 12, 2024, at the Memorial Hospital of Carbon County at the age of 73 years.

Cathy was born to Chester F. and Esther Tabor on August 12, 1950, in Hanna, Wyoming joining 8 sisters and 3 brothers. After graduating from Hanna High School, she joined the U.S. Marine Corp. serving from 1969 to 1972 attaining the rank of Lance Corporal. She married Rocky Callan in 1972 and they had one son, Joshua Aaron.

She worked in retail sales for several years before obtaining her CNA license.  Then worked in nursing homes in Utah and Wyoming until she became disabled.

Cathy loved the Seattle Seahawks and Wyoming Cowboys. She was an avid reader, worked on crossword puzzles, and crafting with her sisters.  She also enjoyed going on road trips with her sister Lois.

She is survived by her son Joshua Aaron Callan; brothers Leslie D. Tabor, Conley (Patti) Tabor of Washington State, and Wesley (Carole) Tabor of Rawlins; sisters Ginny Autio (Kelly Anderson) of Rawlins, Lynda Brown of Redmond, Oregon and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Betty Glenn, Bonnie LeBlanc, Myrtle Russell, Sue Cureton, Evelyn Zeiger, and Lois Seldomridge.

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service is planned for a later date.
