Cecil Strick

Cecil Eugene Strick of Elk Mountain, WY passed away on August 29, 2021, in Rawlins, Wyoming from COVID. He was 57 years old.

Cecil was currently employed by WYDOT as a mechanic. He loved working on the Highway Patrol cars and taking them for a test drive. Cecil was a mechanic for many years at NARM. His favorite job though was running heavy equipment.

Cecil was an avid motorcyclist. A passion he shared with his wife of 35 years. They started riding later in life as a promise they made to wait until the kids were grown and had left home. Both kids follow in their parents’ footsteps when it comes to riding. Cecil and his son, Scott, enjoyed many motorcycle trips together.

Cecil was known to many as an opinionated straight shooter with a clear set of beliefs that he never compromised. He always had a smile and made everyone around him feel important. He would do anything for those he cared about with no questions asked.

Cecil will be missed by everyone that knew him. He leaves behind Stacey, his wife of 35 years; his children, Scott and Erin; his mother, Barbara Strick; sisters, Liz, Susan, Barbara and Ava; brother, Andrew; sisters in law, Bonni and Dana; mother-in-law Peggy Bruce and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert Strick and father-in-law, Robert Bruce.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring when everyone is ready to ride, and we can gather outdoors.
