Cheryl Ann Garvin, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, teacher, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026, with her devoted husband by her side. She was 65 years old.

Cheryl was born on May 20, 1961, in Lovell, Wyoming, to Samuel and Karen Rhoads. She spent her early years in Lovell and Cowley, surrounded by a loving family and the close-knit communities of Wyoming's Big Horn Basin. She later moved with her family to Rawlins, Wyoming, where she attended Sunnyside Elementary, Mountain View School, and graduated from Rawlins High School with the Class of 1979.

In the summer of her young adulthood, Cheryl met the love of her life, Elton James Garvin. What began as a chance meeting quickly blossomed into a lifelong love story. They were married on June 11, 1983, and together built a beautiful life centered on faith, family, and devotion to one another. Their marriage was marked by unwavering love, friendship, laughter, and partnership.

Cheryl's greatest joy was her family. She was a loving mother to Karen Nikole Garvin, Kody Ryan Garvin, and Kurtis Blake Garvin, and a proud and devoted grandmother whose grandchildren brought immeasurable happiness to her life. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and her love for them knew no bounds.

A woman of many talents and interests, Cheryl enjoyed gardening, decorating her home, photography, crafting, hiking, and spending time outdoors. She loved music and often traveled to attend concerts by her favorite artists. She had a gift for preserving memories, creating beauty, and making everyone around her feel welcomed and loved.

Cheryl was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her faith guided her life and was reflected in her kindness, compassion, and service to others. She possessed a gentle spirit and a caring heart, always willing to offer encouragement, friendship, and comfort.

In her later years, Cheryl found great fulfillment as a teacher. She especially loved working with students who needed extra support and encouragement. Her patience, understanding, and belief in the potential of every child left a lasting impact on countless young lives.

Cheryl leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, kindness, and service. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, cherished sister and friend, and a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ. Her influence lives on in the many lives she touched and in the family she loved so deeply.

Though her passing leaves a profound void, her family finds comfort in the memories she created, the example she set, and the assurance that her beautiful spirit continues on.
