IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Chuck
Jenkins
May 1, 1948 – October 18, 2025
Chuck Jenkins, born on May 1, 1948, in Wheatland, Wyoming, departed this life on October 18, 2025, in Rawlins, Wyoming. He was known for his kind-hearted nature, generous spirit, and sense of humor. Chuck's ability to remain calm under pressure, paired with a strong resolve, defined his character, traits that endeared him to family and friends alike. His granddaughter Ember once shared, "He was my best friend," reflecting the profound connections he fostered throughout his life.
Chuck began his illustrious career working alongside his brother, Hugh, in a body shop, where he honed his craft in painting and rebuilding cars. His dedication and passion led him to eventually own his own body shop, a testament to his hard work and talent. In Rawlins, he found not only a thriving business but also love; it was there he met his partner Lori, with whom he built a life centered on family and cherished memories.
A proud father and grandfather, Chuck found immense joy in spending time with his daughter, Karlie, who was a source of great pride for him. Throughout his life, he enjoyed creating lasting memories with his grandchildren: Trever, Elizabeth, Kelton, Katie, Evan, Brayen, Ember, and Sidney. Thanksgiving was particularly special for Chuck as he delighted in sampling all the delicious dishes prepared by loving hands during the family gatherings.
Chuck's journey also included honorable service in the US Army National Guard from 1967 to 1973, where he further developed his skills as a mechanic. His interests extended beyond his professional life; he loved riding motorcycles in his youth, elk hunting with his brothers, working on the farm, and embarking on gold mining expeditions with his brother Jerry. He treasured moments spent over coffee with friends and cherished the simple joys of playing with his grandchildren.
Educationally, Chuck graduated from Wheatland High School in 1966 and made numerous contributions to his community through his work and friendships. He is survived by his partner Lori, daughters Karlie (Aaron) Lanka, Jessica (Wes) Trapp, and Susan Montgomery, son Jason (Sam) Ketner, brothers Jerry (Patty) Jenkins, Phil (Sharon) Jenkins, and Sid (Lou) Jenkins. He leaves behind a legacy of love and craftsmanship that will be remembered by all who knew him.
