Darwin Lee Perdue

(May 30 1964-November 11, 2025)

Darwin Lee Perdue passed at home peacefully after two years of battling cancer. Darwin was a strong man, known to be tough but fair.

He was born in Boulder, CO on May 30th, 1964 to Gene and Margaret Perdue. His early life was spent in Lyons, CO. The family spent a summer in SD, relocated to Ten Sleep, WY, then settled in Encampment, WY in 1967. He made this his forever home and his own piece of heaven. His siblings described him as onery, smart, with a laugh like his fathers.

Darwin went to work with his dad starting at a young age. Even though his father was a dirt man Darwin always had his heart set being a timber man. He was so inspired he started his full time life as a logger in the 8th grade. He even went to the Northwest and logged which he still reminisced till his last breathe. He truly loved his work and never stopped even through the hard times.

Only thing Darwin loved more than logging was his kids and grand kids.He was a good to those who needed work and would give the shirt off his back to a friend. A legend in the logging industry and a pillar to his family. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones and those who worked for him.

Darwin was preceded in death by his parents Gene and Margaret Perdue, his siblings Daryl Perdue and Karen Rakness, and his best friend Doug Talbott.

Darwin is survived by his children Chase Perdue (Marie Kroll) and Jordan Albert, grand children: Echo, Kaiyler, Otillia, Sawyer, and Charlie. He is survived by his siblings Mike Perdue, Shelly Larsen, Chrys Perdue, Barbara Craig, Cheryl Perdue, and Mark Perdue. He is also survived by his beloved friends Mara Stanart, Keesha Clay, Dan Christensen, Clint Grove, and Ron Abraham.

A memorial service will be held at a future date, current plans being May 30th, 2026 at his property.
