David Bryson

David A. Bryson was born June 28, 1935 to Otis and Florence Bryson in Payson, UT. He was known as Dave to his many friends. He graduated from Payson High School and married shortly after. During David's lifetime he held many jobs, including forest service, owning his own Conoco station, potash miner, and general handyman. When he came to Rawlins, he enjoyed his job at Terry's Towing, becoming friends with the Townsends in the process. Dave loved the outdoors. Some of his favorite past times included hunting, fishing, collecting artifacts, building and flying radio controlled airplanes. His very favorite activity was spending time with family, camping and exploring the mountains. He was unsurpassed for patience when waiting for an elk to cross his meadow. It was a long standing traditipn to drop him off at "the stump" while it was dark and then picking him up at dark. Many days in a row. Dave had pet names for those nearest and dearest to his heart, calling his children by: Lorie Porie Puddin n pie, Tuff, Bum Bum, Chipper, and Sister. He had nicknames for his brother and many others as well. On Wednesday, November 23, Dave passed away, following a short illness. He is survived by siblings Dorthella Benson, Lorell (Jean) Bryson, and Louise (Richard) Stapley. His children are Lorie (Bob) Collier, Gary (Dee) Bryson, Annette (Charlie) Shoell, Chip Bryson, Erika (Lonnie) Pacheco. David's grandchildren are; Audrey, Tiffany, Travis, Trent, Ronnie, Jerry, Alex, Alisha, Desi, Marissa, Nathan, Kaleb, Heather, Jennifer, Cherice, Trevor, Mark, Michelle, Amber and Austin. Great grandchildren are; Brady, Austin, Alexis, Christopher, Mackenzie, Dalton, Tryston, Kaitlyn, Kameron, Kadon, and Riley. He also loved his little dog Foxy. David was proceeded in death by both parents, his wife Kathy Bryson and grand daughter Nicole Fluckiger.
