David Day

David Wayne Day, 66, of Rawlins, WY passed away on June 24, 2015. He was born December 22, 1948 in Rawlins, WY to parents Helen Moreen and Ralph Howard Day. Services will take place on Monday, June 29th at 10 a.m. at Rawlins First United Methodist Church. Rev. Tom Thompson will officiate. He received his G.E.D. through C.C.S.D. #1 after serving in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He worked for Union 76 and L.M. Olson until he started his own janitorial business. He did maintenance and custodial work at the Carbon Building until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working, and the culinary arts. He will be remembered as a rough around the edges type of guy with a caring heart. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Tink Day; his children, Debbie Schuman, April Day (Nichole Bain), James Johnston (Ranae); grandchildren, Tammy Day, Lexi Day, Sammuel, Danielle and Ethan Johnston, and Ayden Walton; brother, Gary Day (Tina). He was preceded in death by his daughter, Crystal; mother, Moreen Day; father, Ralph "Corky" Day.
