Deborah Gilbert

Deborah Ann Gilbert passed away Friday, May 29, 2020 in Saratoga, Wyoming.

Debbie was born October 10, 1958 in Kankakee, Illinois to Jarome Gerritson and Judy (Stevenson) Carrow of Kankakee, Illinois.

Debbie married David Gilbert in 1979, together they had two children and later divorced.

Debbie had odd jobs but most of all loved being a homemaker.  She enjoyed boat races, camping, fishing, and football.  Spending time with her friends, family, and grandchildren whom she loved dearly was her joy in life.

Survivors include her son Jason David (Jackie) Gilbert of Elkhart, Indiana.  Her daughter Jennifer (Jason) Maurer of Saratoga, Wyoming.  Her mother Judy (Stevenson) Carrow.  Her sister Cynthia Langlois of Kankakee, Illinois.  Her brother Rusty  (Dee-Dee) Gerritson also of Kankakee.  Four grandchildren, Cody Maurer of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Katera Payne, Gilbert Payne, Taylor Jaden Payne Gilbert, and Nevaeh Marie Payne Gilbert all of Elkhart, Indiana.  One great-grandchild Noah Maurer of Saratoga, Wyoming, and several nieces and nephews.

She’s preceded in death by her grandmother Edrie (Nana) Colster, grandparents Harmon and Ida Lampley, her father Jarome Jacob Gerritson, her sister-in-law Pamela Gerritson, and her nephew Shawn Scroggins.

A memorial will be held at a later date to honor Deb’s life.
