Edward Lee Warren

May 11, 1941 — May 4, 2025

Rawlins, WY

Edward Lee Warren, known simply as “Lee” to all who loved him, went home with his Savior on May 4th, 2025, just one week shy of his 84th birthday. He was born on May 11th, 1941, on a kitchen table in a farmhouse in Iowa- a humble beginning that shaped a life marked by strength, humility, and unwavering faith.

Lee was the beloved son of Jack and Beulah Warren, and brother to Delmer Warren, Lois Patterson, Dale Warren, Luella Bowman, and Gary Warren. His life was a testament to Proverbs 22:1- “A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, loving favor rather than silver and gold.”

On Halloween night in 1956, Lee’s life changed forever when he met the love of his life, Judith Ann Warren. He once said “Growing up with two sisters I always thought women weren’t worth anything but then I seen Judy and was completely sold. Woman were worth something after all, and that is when I knew, I wanted to marry her.” From that moment, until his final breath, he adored her fiercely and faithfully.

Together, they built a joyful life grounded in love and the lord, raising three children: Debbie Harris (Dave Harris), Trisha Leann Hunter (Donald Dean Hunter JR), and Scott Warren (Jessica Warren). They were later blessed with six grandchildren: Jeremy Harris, Mandi Smith, Megan Smith, Derek Harris (Farah Harris), Melody Lopez (Victor Lopez), and Felica Rutherford (Jeremiah Rutherford). And sixteen great-grandchildren: Destiny Thill (Michael Boswell), Jerica Harris, Tayshia Safford, Annalee Ortega, Jayla Thill, Alexandra Bailey, Haidyn Safford, Serenity Harris, Michael Barnett, Amelia Lamprecht, Everleigh Lamprecht, Olivia Harris, Hadley Harris, Nolyn Lopez, Grayson Harris, and Zander Harris, each one knowing the warmth and strength of Lee’s love.

Though Lee was raised attending church, it was in his twenties that he truly turned his heart to Christ. From that point forward, he became a deeply devoted follower of Jesus. His faith wasn’t loud or boastful- it was steady, lived out in quiet integrity, and deeply rooted in scripture. As 2nd Timothy 4:7 says, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” That was Lee.

He was the steady hand, the warm heart, the spiritual rock for his family. He wasn’t just someone who spoke about love- he lived it daily. As a husband, he cherished Judy with a tenderness and loyalty that reflected Christ’s love for the church. As a father and grandfather, he poured out wisdom, patience, and strength, leading by the kind of quiet example that left an eternal mark on those who knew him.

Lee’s life reminds us of Micah 6:8- “He has shown you, O man, what is good: and what does the lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your god?” and that’s just what he did. Not perfectly, but faithfully.

His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy lives on in the generations that follow. And while our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that Lee is now in the arms of the Savior he loved so dearly.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”- Matthew 25:21
