My name is Malcolm Reid. I was born in Dublin, Ireland on October 26, 1928. I lived with my family in Ireland for 20 years. Then I went to England and studied for the priesthood as a Passionist. I was ordained in 1957 at the Middleton Monastery in Yorkshire, England.
I served with the Passionists for 13 years preaching and doing mission retreats. I then petitioned Bishop Newell to come and work in Wyoming as a priest in this Diocese. I am here now for over 50 years.
I cannot say enough for the priests that I have known and worked with in this Diocese. Nor indeed can I say enough about the people of Wyoming. I am 95 years old now and must soon stand before God in Judgement.
I will never forget this wonderful State and all of you who have been my friends. If I can leave you anything, let it be a love for the Mass and the Eucharist. Be faithful to the faith that God gave you. Please remember me and say a prayer now and then that God will forgive my many faults and allow me to stay with Him.
