Felix Eloy Martinez, a beloved son, father, and friend, passed away on June 13, 2026, at the Memorial Hospital of Carbon County. Born on March 8, 1979, in Rawlins, Wyoming, Felix’s life was deeply rooted in the community where he grew up and cherished.

Felix dedicated much of his life to working in construction and home improvements, crafts that reflected his hands-on approach and commitment to making things better for those around him. Beyond his profession, he was a man who found profound joy in the great outdoors, embracing camping, hunting, and fishing as more than hobbies—they were the passions that connected him intimately with nature and life’s simple pleasures.

Those close to Felix remember him as a profoundly loving and caring individual. His warmth enriched the lives of his family and friends alike, leaving an indelible mark through his kindness and the gentle strength of his spirit. Felix’s love for his family was paramount, and it’s known that he passed away surrounded by the loving presence of those dearest to him.

Felix is survived by his mother, Baudilia, and his daughters, Alesia Martinez and Raven Parish. His siblings Connie Gurule, Ivan (Debbie) Gurule, Martin (Sheila) Gurule, Ramona (Cesario) Gurule-Gutierrez, Elizabeth Gurule, Gilbert (Michelle) Martinez, Diana (Samuel) Martinez, Marcus (Robin) Martinez, alongside numerous nieces and nephews including Isaiah Colunga, Isaac Colunga, Dominic Martinez, Tyler Martinez, Sara Gutierrez, Julian Morris, Joe Martinez and Jesus Gutierrez, all of whom carry forward his legacy of love and resilience.

His memory is also tenderly kept alive by those who knew him before him—his father, Jose Gilbert Martinez, and his son, Angel Martinez, both of whom preceded him in death.

A rosary will be held in Felix’s honor on June 19, 2026, from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, followed by a Mass on June 20, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, both at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church located at 219 W. Pine St., Rawlins, Wyoming. These gatherings will offer a moment of reflection and remembrance for all who knew Felix and were touched by his life.

Felix’s journey may have ended, but the love and care he shared continue to resonate profoundly within the hearts of his family, friends, and community. He was a man who truly lived with an open heart and leaves behind a legacy of enduring affection and treasured memories.
