Gary Chrisp

Gary L. Chrisp, 74, of Riverside, WY, passed away November,7,2014 at his home after an extended illness. Gary was born in North Platte, NE on September 1, 1940 to Elmer J. and Eva R.(Gravel) Chrisp. He married Janet Olsen on June 18, 1960. They lived in Paxton, NE, where the couple raised their family and Gary managed a telephone company. In 1989 they moved to Wyoming. Gary was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hiking, camping, fishing, and hunting pack trips. Gary and Janet enjoyed trips to Alaska, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and a safari trip to Zimbabwe, Africa. Gary is survived by his wife Janet of Riverside; daughter, Dianna (Steve) Carroll of Kellogg, ID; grandsons, Joe Carroll of Coeur d'Alene, ID, and Tim Carroll of Elko, NV. Also surviving are his sisters, Carol Stewart and Gayle Anthony, both of Lincoln, NE; brother, Rodney Chrisp of Brady, NE; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jim; and brother, Max Chrisp. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12, at the Presbyterian Church in Encampment, WY. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Gary's name may be sent to the Corbett Medical Foundation, P.O. Box 343, Saratoga, WY, 82331-0343.
