James Arellano

August 11, 1969 — January 16, 2018

James "Jimmy" was a vibrant soul! He loved people and was always willing to stop to strike up a friendly conversation, usually making a new friend or connection in the process. James loved the Lord and enjoyed walking, exploring, fishing, playing PlayStation games, movies, music and adored "Covey" his cat. He was intrigued by the history of Rawlins, especially the old state penitentiary. James moved back to Rawlins in 2017 to assist his aging parents who he loved immensely and spent most of his remaining days with.

James was the quintessence of - just be yourself, regardless of what anyone else may think! Despite any challenges or obstacles James faced, one of his most prominent traits was his unfailing ability to eagerly love and forgive others without any bias, prejudice or preset criteria. James will be greatly missed for his smile, laughter, kindheartedness and extraordinary example ship of loving others.

James was preceded in death by all of his grandparents and is survived by his loving mother and father, Sarah and Gilbert Arellano of Rawlins, WY; sister and her husband, Laura and Brian of Casper, WY; son Donovan; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A private memorial service will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Memorial donations in memory of James can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
