IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jennifer Sue
Schanck
April 21, 1969 – October 13, 2025
Jennifer Reed Schanck, 56, of Rawlins, Wyoming, passed away on October 13, 2025. Born on April 21, 1969, in Loup City, Nebraska, Jennifer grew up in Medicine Bow, Wyoming, where she graduated from Bow Basin High School and formed lifelong friendships rooted in kindness and laughter.
On March 18, 2004, Jennifer married the love of her life, Richard Schanck. Together for 26 years, they built a beautiful life in Sinclair, Wyoming, filled with love, laughter, and countless adventures. Richard was her forever adventure partner — together they shared memories fishing, camping, exploring the mountains, and taking spontaneous road trips just to see where the road would lead.
Jennifer had a heart of gold — compassionate, strong, and full of life. She found her greatest joy in being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Her son, Mathew, was the light of her life, and their bond was unbreakable — built on love, trust, and a connection that words could never fully describe. When Mathew blessed her with three beautiful granddaughters — Aubreigh, Kinleigh, and Landry — Jennifer’s heart became complete. Her grandbabies were her entire world, and she poured every ounce of her love into them.
Jennifer had a natural gift for bringing people together. She loved hosting family gatherings, celebrating everything from small everyday moments to the biggest milestones. She had an incredible way of making everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. Her laughter could fill a room, and her warmth left an imprint on every life she touched.
Ambitious, full of life, and fearless in pursuing new adventures, Jennifer cherished life’s simple joys — a quiet evening by the lake, a family camping trip, or an afternoon outdoors — especially when shared with the people she loved most.
Jennifer is survived by her loving husband, Richard Schanck; her son, Mathew Reed; her granddaughters, Aubreigh, Kinleigh, and Landry; her children Quinton (Audrey) Schanck and Darla (James) Schaffner; and her siblings Tania (Kelley) Vyvey of Sinclair, WY; Denise (James) Day and Lisa Reed of Fairbanks, AK; Don (Jasmyn) Reed of Gillette, WY. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Louise Reed; her sister, Jayne Reed; her brothers, Rodney and Charles Reed; her son, Richard R. Schanck; and her parents-in-law, Richard (Dick) and Doris Schanck.
Jennifer’s love, laughter, and gentle spirit will live on through the countless lives she touched. She will be remembered always for her kindness, her adventurous soul, and her unwavering devotion to her family.
