Jesse Elijo Pacheco, a lifelong resident of Rawlins, WY, died peacefully at home on September 9th, 2022 at the age of 83. Jesse was born in Chacon, NM on December 25, 1938 to Maria (Anselma) Maestas. In Jesse's earlier age he served his country in the United States Marine Corp. After being Honorably Discharged from the Marine Corp, he returned to Rawlins, WY and was employed at the Wyoming State Penitentiary as a Correctional Officer. Jesse retired from the Wyoming State Pen after 35 years of service. Jesse enjoyed spending time with family and friends, socializing out on the town, playing pool, hunting, fishing, and enjoying the beauty that Wyoming had to offer. Jesse was such an outgoing, loving person, and made friends with anyone he met.
Jesse is survived by his siblings; Tony, Tommy, Louie, Nora, Helen, Francella, and Carletta. Grandchildren; Angie (Tracy) Palmer, Natalie Gomez (Tobey Sheridan). Great Grandchildren; Alfonso, Thomas, Gabriel, Daniel, Elias (Pork), and Destiny. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Jesse was preceded in death by his Mother; Maria (Anselma) Maestas, Brother's; Levi Maestas, Leo Maestas, and Gilbert Martinez, Wife; Cordie Pacheco, Daughter; Cynthia Wallace, and Grandson; Michael Pacheco.
A Vigil Service with recitation of the Rosary will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with Father Flo as the Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Rawlins Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Alfonso Bustos, Thomas Bustos, Gabrial Palmer, Tracy Palmer, Tobey Sheridan, and James Baca.
