Jesse Samora

On April 4, 2015, Jesse Samora Sr. lost his battle to cancer, at age 57. He passed away in his home surrounded by his family. Jesse Elvis Samora Sr. was born February 2, 1958 in Rawlins, Wyoming to Phil Samora and Julia (Archuleta) Samora. Jesse was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad until 1993 and then went on to work at Art's Plumbing where he earned a certificate as a master plumber. He spent many years working at the refinery and spent the last few years employed by HSS security at Cheyenne Regional Hospital. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors, camping, fishing and hunting. Jesse was also dedicated to coaching football and basketball. He was a compassionate, loving man, and he is known for making everyone around him laugh. He loved his family very much and he will be dearly missed. Jesse is survived by his wife of 28 years, Elaine Samora; his son, Jesse (Melissa) Samora Jr.; daughters, Desiree, Skye, and Bianca Samora; five grandchildren; brothers, Manuel and Johnny Samora; sister, Janice Samora; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Phil and Julia Samora; uncle, Ronald Li; and nephew, Robert Bustos Jr. The services for Jesse Samora will be held at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Rawlins Wyoming. The Rosary will be Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday April 8, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. Father Malcolm Reid will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the Rawlins Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Manuel Samora, Johnny Samora, Phillip Vigil, Brandon Eggleston, Eric Li and Dean Samora. Honorary Pallbearers include Sunny Li, Joey Archuleta, Derrick Archuleta Jr., Josh Archuleta, Scott Davis, Arron Eggleston, Isaiah Zamora, Cain Samora and Vincent Samora.
