Joy Fleet

Joy L. Fleet, 48, of Rawlins passed away Dec. 22, 2016. She was born Feb. 5, 1968 in Fort Collins, CO to Joyce and Jerry Burke. Soon after her birth the family moved to Rawlins where she has lived all her life. Joy graduated from Rawlins High School and went on to work for the BLM where she was still employed at the time of her passing. She will be remembered as the life of the party with her great smile and infectious laugh. Joy was a great lover of all animals. Joy is survived by her son, Josh Bergquist and family; brother, Jim Burke and family; father, Jerry Burke; aunt, Patty Burke; husband, Michael Fleet; and a countless number of friends that she considered family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce and grandmothers, Mary and Ella Mae. Joy's funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Carbon County Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Rawlins Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Josh Bergquist, Jim Burke, Jerry Burke, Michael Fleet, Robert Bergquist and Don Nicholls. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Rochelle Ranch Animal Shelter would be appreciated.
