Juan J Pacheco

Juan J. Pacheco, born on August 6, 1940, in Las Vegas, NM passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at Cheyenne Regional Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Juan was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Pacheco, son Sr Airman Brian Pacheco and wife Elizabeth Pacheco.

He retired from the United States Navy after 33 years as Command Master Chief of the base at Chase NAS. During his career he served on several Navy aircraft carriers including guided missile destroyers, radar pickup and submarine tenders. He was the project officer implementing the program that saw the first 100 women serving aboard Navy ships. He was one of the few senior chiefs chosen to attend the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, a most prestigious school in the armed forces. After his service, Juan completed his education, earning two Bachelor’s Degrees in Social Work and Social Science. He then worked for the American Red Cross, eventually ending his career with them as Regional Director in Alaska. He then served as a Project Manager at the Wyoming State Penitentiary. His last career transition was at the Kitsap Mental Health System where he worked as a Senior Mental Health Counselor.

Juan enjoyed running in races, bowling, dancing, limericks and was a voracious reader. Most of all Juan enjoyed being a family man and took care of them all.

Juan is survived by his two daughters and two sons in law, Michelle Warner (Bill) of Cheyenne, WY and Cary Regular (Robert) of Bremerton, WA, six Grandchildren, Anthony Kaauamo, Henry Eskaron Jr, Michael Pacheco, Antoinette Regular, Brian Williams, and Christian Regular and three great grandchildren, Kalani Kaauamo, Natalie Maggard and Clark Regular.
