Lucia Samairo Lascano, 81 of Rawlins, Wyoming left this world to join her loving husband on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 while surrounded by her family.

She was born on January 6, 1940 in Roswell, New Mexico to Floratino and Consuelo Somairo. Lucia married Luis Lascano, Jr. on August 19, 1961 and together they celebrated 58 years of marriage. After moving to Rawlins in 1979, Lucia worked as a school bus driver for St. Joseph’s Catholic School and as a housekeeper for several motels in the area. She also helped take care of her family, especially her grandchildren.

Lucia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Luis Lascano, Jr, a son, Larry Lascano and numerous siblings. She is survived by her children, Luis Lascano and his wife Tonjia, Lupita and Frank Lucero, Lloyd Lascano and Penal and Craig Earl all of Rawlins; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters, Angelita, Crus and Lupita and her best friend, Julie Nicholson.

A Rosary will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. and a mass to follow on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Sam Hayes officiating.
