She resided at the dormitory of the Ursuline Catholic Convent, where she received her education. Lucile came to Rawlins in 1939 to help take care of a friend's children, thus beginning her life in Rawlins. Lucile was a member of St Joseph's Catholic Church and faithfully attended early Mass and Sunday Mass as long as she was able. She was active in the St Joseph's Altar and Rosary Society, was President of St Mary's Circle for many years, and was active in the Lady Trainman and Drill Team. She was a past Sweetheart Queen at the South Central Rehabilitation Center. Lucile loved working in her yard with her flowers and gardening. She enjoyed playing cards and liked to walk. Her greatest passion was cooking and entertaining, and her specialty was fried chicken. Lucile's favorite charity was St Joseph's Children Orphanage in Torrington.
