Marvin Neil Hughes, 78, of Saratoga went to his heavenly home on Sunday, December 4, 2017 in Saratoga. He was born August 22, 1939 in Delaware County, Oklahoma to Fred and Anna Hughes. He married Sharon Hughes on October 7, 1956 in Laramie, Wyoming. Marvin and Sharon moved from Laramie to Saratoga in 1969, where they raised their three sons. Marvin was a very hard worker and enjoyed his career as a Logging Contractor. He later worked for Sinclair Corporation, where he developed a life long Illness. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all of his family and friends. He also enjoyed spending time in Alaska, working in his yard and being in his garage working on different projects. Survivors include his three sons, Rick (Carol) Hughes, Arlen (Tiffany) Hughes and Todd Hughes (Lynda Padilla); six grandchildren, Stacy Baumgartner, Erin Kellogg, Abby (Richard) Raymer, Brian Hughes, Tyler Hughes and Brooke Hughes; and five great-grandchildren, Isaak Baumgartner, Andrea Baumgartner, Aldyn Kellogg, Kelsea Raymer and Ashlyn Raymer. Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon; parents, Fred and Anna Hughes; infant son, Randy; and brother, Dale. Services will take place on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Abundant Life Fellowship, 108 West Spring Ave. in Saratoga. Interment will follow in the Saratoga Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Church immediately following the interment.
