Mary Garcia

Mary Alice Garcia, 81, passed away February 5, 2019 surrounded by family at Carbon County Memorial Hospital. Mary was born on November 1, 1937 in Las Vegas, NM. to Benjamin and Antonia Gutierez. Mary was devoted wife and her family was always number one. She loved music, dancing and managing the band. Mary was a devoted Bronco's fan. She loved to cook and bake, crochet, travel and take road trips. She loved babies and she was the go-to person in the family when anyone needed counseling. Mary was a lifelong Catholic and member of St. Josephs of Rawlins. Mary is survived by the love of her life, husband Ignacio "Nash"; children Audie (Flora) Martinez; Eddie (Kerry) Martinez; Teresa Martinez; Nash (Ronda) Garcia Jr.; Yolanda (Thomas) Shockley and Sadie Garcia. Mary is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends too numerous to count. Mary was preceded in death by her sons James "Bimbo" Garcia and Ricky Garcia. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 12, 2019 at 10.00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rawlins with Father Sam Hayes officiating. Interment will follow immediately at the Rawlins Cemetery.
