August 2, 1932 — June 14, 2018

Mary M. Wimp, 85, passed away June 14, 2018 in Cheyenne Wyoming. She was born August 2nd, 1932 to Victoriana (Esquibel) and Lewis Montoya in San Geronimo, New Mexico. Mary met and married her first husband, Jose Archuleta and then moved to Rawlins in 1949. They enjoyed a lovely marriage until his passing in 1987. In 1989, Mary moved to Riverton for a short while, where she met and married David Wimp. Shortly thereafter they moved to Cheyenne, where Mary lived out the rest of her days. Mary took delight in dancing to Spanish music, enjoyed playing bingo, took pleasure in coloring, and adored spending time with her children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Mary is preceded in death by her first husband, Jose Archuleta; daughter Chistine, her parents, brothers, John and George; and sisters, Emma and Dora. Survivors include husband, David; children, Alfred (Shelly), Lucy (Tim), Veronica, Anna (Alfredo) Angel (Kelly), Morris, Lawrence; 22 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren. A Vigil service with recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00p.m on Wed. June 20th, 2018. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Rawlins. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00a.m. Thursday June 21st at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Father Sam Hayes will be the Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Rawlins Cemetery.
