Mary Ann Long

Mary Ann Jane Long, 78, of Hanna, passed away on Dec 27, 2013. She was born in Holbrook, NE on April 6, 1935, to Donald Grover Brown and Ella Minnie Davidson. She was married to Eugene Vincient Long on May 26, 1953 in Ethete, WY. They lived and ranched in the Leo area and raised their 4 children there. Following Gene's death in 1987, she moved to Hanna, WY and continued to be the rural mail carrier for the Leo community. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene; and a daughter, Ella Mae Larson. She is survived by a daughter, Nellie (Casey) Palm; two sons: Ken Long and Steve Long, grandchildren: Tony Larson, Jacque (Aaron) Murray, Jason (Jenni) Palm, Sonnie ( Ryan ) Neiman, Nicole (Kody) Posten, Shana Long, Michelle (David) Vaughn, Mitch Long and Cassie Long; and several great grandchildren. She cherished her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren who will miss her dearly. She was a member of the Red Hats in Hanna and had great fun with her friends and all the activities. She was always ready for her trips to Riverton with her great traveling buddies. A family memorial will be held later in the summer of 2014 in the mountains she loved.
