Paul Groner

Paul Eugene Groner, "da Smaug", 51, of Sinclair, WY passed away Nov. 10, 2015. He was born Jan. 9, 1964 in Aurora, IL to parents Betty Marie (Hotopp) and Thomas Peter Groner. A Memorial Service will be held on Wed. Dec. 2, 2015 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Roadway Inn, 1801 E. Cedar, Rawlins, WY. Paul is remembered as a smart, caring, funny and compassionate person. He loved comedy and loved sharing his passion for this with his friends and family. He was very good at "conversation", which gave him his ambition in life to be a radio talk-show host, D.J. and anything to do with radio. He found his love for radio and a wonderful family of friends in Sinclair and Rawlins while working for Mount Rushmore Broadcasting (KIQZ/KRAL), Kum And Go and Roadway Inn. Unfortunately, his life was cut way too short and it was not in the stars for him to become world-famous. Survivors include two sisters, Jean (Bryan) Hanson and Lynn Ericksen; step-son, Malachi Loveland; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Thomas Michael and Victor Gerald Groner. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Paul's memory to The Estate of Paul Groner, 1901 Edinburgh St. Rawlins, WY 82301.
