Ralph Terry Harper, 78, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, love for family, and a deep appreciation for both the outdoors and the simple beauty of everyday life.

Born on November 9, 1947, Ralph lived a life rooted in meaningful connections and the things he loved most. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Marilee Harper, and a proud father to his daughter, Lisa Montez. He cherished his role as a grandfather to Aria Montez and warmly welcomed his son-in-law, Abel Montez, into the family.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Florence Mae and Elmer Harper, along with six siblings.

A butcher by trade, Ralph took pride in his work and carried that same passion into his love of cooking. He found joy in the outdoors—whether hunting, fishing, or spending time in the mountains—but he was just as at home tending to his garden. He especially loved growing hollyhocks and tomatoes, taking quiet pride in watching them flourish year after year.

Ralph will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of good food, and his silly sense of humor that brought smiles to those around him. He had a steady, grounded presence and a way of making everyday moments a little lighter.

His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Saratoga Cemetery Chapel.
