Ralph Jump

November 3, 1943 — June 20, 2025

Saratoga, WY

Ralph Jump went to his Heavenly Father on June 20, 2025, at the age of 81.

Ralph met the love of his life, Robin, when he began helping guide hunts for Saratoga Safari, a business owned by Robin’s uncle. Their bond was immediate, and together they built a life rooted in love, strength, and perseverance. They were blessed with six children—four sons and two daughters—who brought him great joy and pride.

Ralph had a strong work ethic and a spirit of adventure. He spent nine years working at the XH Ranch, followed by nine more at the Silver Spur. In midlife, he made a bold career change and became a long-haul truck driver, a job he would hold for the next 20 years. Each summer, he took one of his children with him on cross-country trips, and over the years, he and his family visited every U.S. state except Alaska and Hawaii, as well as many parts of Canada. His children fondly recall the stories and experiences they shared on those unforgettable journeys.

He lived a life full of rich experiences and unforgettable stories—from drag racing his midnight purple Plymouth Prowler, to river boating on the Mississippi, to enjoying retirement days golfing with his kids. He even appeared in a Western movie on horseback, adding yet another unique memory to his adventurous life.

Ralph was a man of simple pleasures and deep character. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, and listening to audiobooks—especially the latest C.J. Box novel. He was often found enjoying a good story with his loyal dog Jazmine curled up beside him, or napping with his beloved cat Lady Liberty, who stayed by his side until the very end. His quiet strength, steady presence, and love for his family left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Robin, and their children: Josalyn (Mack), Josh (Deidre), Jason (Brittney), Jessica (Craig), John (Trina), and Jacob (Rhonda). He was a proud grandfather to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry his legacy of love, strength, and storytelling forward.

A private celebration of life will be held for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Platte Valley Helping Hands, PO Box 1553 Saratoga, WY 82331.
