Ralph Rounds

Skip was the beloved son of Ralph Wendell Rounds and Angela Pauline Rounds, born in Rawlins Wyoming. He achieved the top honors of Eagle Scout in 1952 and graduated from Rawlins High School in 1955. He then went into the US Navy with his best friend Russell Brubaker and served on the USS Toledo and USS Columbus as a Machinist Mate POT 2nd class. He was honorably discharged in 1959. He started his family with Mary Frances Corbett and had 3 children while working on his degree at the University of Wyoming . He graduated with a degree in business in 1963. He was a business owner, realtor and entrepreneur . He had many talents. He had a love of animals, nature and the state of Wyoming. Skip is survived by his children Monica Hanson of Silverton Oregon, Russell W Rounds of Aberdeen North Carolina, Richard W Rounds of Warner Robbins Georgia, his cousin Monica Mohatt Miller of Reno Nevada, 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and his cat Tom. Memorials can be made to the Animal Shelter or Disabled Veterans of America. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday June 23, at the Rawlins Senior Center with Full Military Honors.
