Ravena Joyce Spence, 87 years of age, was called Home on February 4, 2023. Ravena was born March 31, 1935 in Maynard, Arkansas to Horace Rush and Sadie (Cox) Rush. She has one surviving sister, Betty Sue Rush, who resides in Texas, as well as many nieces and nephews.

          Ravena married the late John Charles Spence on December 29, 1952 and they had two children, Stephen Eugene and Cynthia Kathleen. Ravena has four grandsons, Brian Anthony, Alexander Charles, Dustin Ryan and Craig Eugene as well as six great grandsons and two great granddaughters.

          Ravena loved to read, cut out recipes from magazines, watch Hallmark movies and travel. She lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Francis Eugene, in Wyoming, where she enjoyed watching the eagles fly and the deer roam.

          God, family and friendships were her passion. She was a loving and caring person, always willing to help others when she could. To know her was to love her.

          A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Casada Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Holmes officiating. Fellowship with coffee and doughnuts will follow. She will be laid to rest with her sweetheart, John, on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona.
