Robert Wright

February 4, 1952 — August 21, 2017

Robert Lee Wright of Saratoga Wyoming peacefully passed away at his home, August 21, 2017. He had been under the care of several doctors for about four months battling kidney cancer. Bob, as he was affectionally known, retired from Sinclair Oil Company as Senior Corporate Projects Planner two years ago. This good and caring man owned an archery shop in his home where he sold archery supplies, fletched arrows, tied bow strings, and etc. He helped experienced archers improve their bow skills. He worked with beginning and new archers, teaching them the bow skills they would need to become successful hunters. He was in business for some thirty years. Bob was an enthusiastic shotgun competitor. After retiring, he enjoyed helping keep the traps working and filled at the Saratoga Gun Club and Silver Spur Shooting range, of which he was a member. He had a wish that he would be able to raise and shoot his shotgun one more time. Unfortunately, he wasn't given that time. He spent many enjoyable hours working on his 1969 Roadrunner. He was an excellent, trained mechanic, welder, and machinist. He loved spending time in his man-cave shop building, repairing and inventing projects. He was a third-degree mason in the local Mason Lodge. He enjoyed collecting Ansonia clocks and became a member the National Watch and Clock Organization. Bob's quick wit and humor will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. He asked that his ashes be scattered under Divide Peak where he spent many pleasant hours hunting. He is survived by his daughter, Judy Lynn Capellen of Las Vegas, Nevada, and his brother, Larry Wright of Cartersville, North Carolina. Bob's Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Saratoga Cemetery Valley Chapel, where his many friends will be able to honor him with a last good-bye.
