Maxine Ruth Cooper, 89, of Rawlins, WY passed away on March 10, 2014. Funeral services will take place at the Carbon County Funeral Home in Rawlins on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Gene Washburne of the Rawlins First Southern Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in the Rawlins Cemetery. Visitation with viewing will be held on Friday, March 14, 2014, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Ruth was born June 13, 1924, in Harriman, TN to parents Pearl Marie (Roberts) and Malcolm Graham Prince. She graduated from South Harriman High School and continued on to receive a Cosmetology License from D.H. Holmes School in Slidell, LA. She worked as a hair stylist, waitress and a manager for several motels. She enjoyed her family sports, hunting and fishing. Survivors include her son, Daniel O. (Betty J.) Rutledge; two grandchildren, Daniel O. Rutledge, II and Christopher M. Rutledge; two great-grandchildren, Kolby and Malcolm Rutledge; and other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, T.W. Cooper; her parents; and her brother, D.O. Prince.
