With hearts heavy with sorrow yet filled with gratitude for her luminous spirit, we announce the peaceful passing of Samantha Amber Trejo on June 27, 2026. Born on January 22, 2001, in Whittier, California to Javier and Eulalia Trejo. She spent her early years in California later moving to Rawlins, WY in 2012 where she created long lasting friendships. Samantha lived her life radiating love and joy to all whose lives she touched. Though her time with us was far too short, her memory will remain everlasting.

From an early age, Samantha embodied kindness and joy that was contagious to everyone around her. She was known for a laughter that could light up any room and a heart that instinctively extended care and warmth. Friends, colleagues, and family alike remember her as the most kind-hearted soul—one whose mere presence brought comfort and celebration to life’s everyday moments.

A proud alumna of Victory High School, Samantha continued to pursue her dream of serving others through education. She worked as a Paraprofessional at Rawlins Elementary School, guiding and encouraging young minds with patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for their growth. Ever inspired to do more, Samantha was planning to continue her education and dedicate her future to special education—a testament to her compassion and purposeful spirit.

Her passions flowed into every corner of her life. Samantha loved dancing—never hesitating to break into spontaneous movement when cumbia music played, her wild energy infectious and her joy impossible to ignore. Artistic at heart, she found solace and self-expression through drawing and reading, while enjoying simple pleasures like walking and water aerobics. A recent achievement that filled her with pride and inspired many was completing her first 5K race in May 2026, having just begun training for races. Her accomplishments spoke to her determination for new experiences.

As a proud member of The Seventh Day Adventist Church, Samantha also served as a teacher for Sabbath School, nurturing younger generations with the same tenderness and understanding she showed in all areas of her life.

Her generous and loving nature blossomed within her family, where she was a cherished daughter to Eulalia and Javier, beloved sister to Perla, Gloria and Francisco, and proud Aunt to Alex and Leilani. Samantha’s loving circle also included her grandmother, Gloria Trejo and her grandfather, Antonio Trejo, as well as many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Though her absence is profoundly felt, her memory is honored and celebrated by each of them.

Samantha now joins those who went before her in rest: her Grandmother Martina Meraz Chavira, Grandfather Francisco Meraz, and Uncle Jesus Jose Meraz. The love they shared lives on in the stories and cherished memories held by all who knew her.

As we gather to remember Samantha’s vibrant life, services will be held at the Jeffrey Center, 315 W Pine St, Rawlins, WY 82301. Visitation will take place on July 6, 2026, from 9:00 to 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest at Rawlins Cemetery, 915 3rd St, Rawlins, WY 82301, at 12:00 pm the same day.

Samantha Amber Trejo’s spirit endures in the laughter, the music, the classrooms, and the hearts of all who loved her. We remember her with tears and with smiles, carrying her legacy of kindness, spontaneity, and unyielding joy forward in our own lives.
