Susie Medina, age 98, a lifelong resident of Rawlins died on January 17, 2014 at Kindred Healthcare. She was born on September 2, 1915 in Fort Garland, Co. She moved to Rawlins at a young age and graduated from Rawlins High School in 1933. She worked at various jobs as a clerk, and was a Gray Lady volunteer at the hospital for several years. She enjoyed baking, gardening and dancing. Susie was preceded in death by her parents; husband Elias; four sons, Adelmo, Steve Elmer, Steve Frank and Abundo Frank. Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Irene, and four sisters. Surviving Susie are her daughters: Lorraine Woodward and her husband Ed of Rawlins, June Molina of Cheyenne, WY; and her sons: Father Maurice Medina of Twin Falls, Idaho; and Eugene Medina of Rawlins. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, 1 great great great grandchild, and 2 sisters; Lupe Vigil and Tiva Padilla.
