Teddy Sandoval

Teddy Edward Sandoval, 71 of Lander, WY passed away Oct. 4, 2017 at his home, the WY Life Resource Center. He passed peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Teddy was born Aug. 25, 1946 in Rock Springs, WY to parents Telesfor and Eufelia (Archuleta) Sandoval. He was the eldest of five children, Melvin Sandoval, Leo Sandoval, Wilma Lopez and Jody Sandoval. Although Teddy had many disabilities in his younger years, he enjoyed riding horses, swimming, going to concerts and attending parades, all of which he did with his caregivers. Most of all, he enjoyed going to the park and spending time with all of his family. Teddy will always be remembered for throwing things when you least expected it. Survivors include his sister, Wilma (Virgil) Lopez; brother, Jody (Debbie) Sandoval; sisters-in-law, Vaiola Sandoval and Eva Sandoval; aunt, Lupe Archuleta of Arroyo Seco, NM; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many cousins; and his large family at the WY Life Resource Center in Lander, WY. A special thank you to all of you for the special love and care you gave our loved one. Teddy was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Melvin Sandoval, who passed away Sept. 8, 2015 and Leo Sandoval, who passed away May 1, 2017; and numerous other relatives. A Vigil Service with recitation of the Rosary will be held on Mon. Oct. 9, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tues. Oct. 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Father Sam Hayes will be the Celebrant. Interment will follow in the Rawlins Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Sandoval, Raymond Lopez, Vicente Lopez, Victor Lopez, Matthew Sandoval and Drayden Maes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Virgil Lopez, Tony Romero, Katy Gonzales, Dean Morris, Jesse Buckendorf, Jordan Halstead, Matt Bocanegra and John Bergquist.
