Timothy Eugene McCann, Date of Birth : 11-30-1951, Place of Birth Rawlins Wyoming, Date of Death 6-11-2026

Preceded in death by his parents, George and Pat McCann, and sister Mary Jill Ritche. Good friends Roger Ward, Craig Schmeling.

He is survived by two brothers Mike McCann of Rock Springs & Barry McCann (wife Debbie) of Cheyenne.

Tim attended St. Joesphs catholic school through 8th grade then graduated Rawlins High School. Tim then attended Casper College for two years. After which he was drafted into the US Army where he served as an Engineer with B Co 237th Eng. Bn USAREUR in Heilbronn Germany. Tim enjoyed his time in the service, touring Europe, enjoying a good beer, and making lifelong friends.

After his discharge from the military, Tim worked as a mechanic for RMI corp. maintaining compressor stations. Until being hired on with the Sinclair Pipeline company in Sinclair. Tim worked in many rolls during his almost 40 years with the Pipeline. He moved from Pipeliner to Equipment operator, then to Measurement specialist. He also worked relief on the control board for many years. He was a volunteer firefighter for many years with Sinclair Department.

Anyone who knew Tim knew his sharp, sarcastic sense of humor. He could find something funny or ironic in just about every situation. You couldn’t help but like him. His wit would make you smile. Tim was a very giving man as well. He gave freely of his time…not his money. He was there to help friends and family whenever they had a project or issue. Whether it was a cabin by the river, a door that needed hung, or advice to the guy in the ditch who was “doing it wrong”. If he didn’t give you a hard time, he didn’t like you. The lucky ones received his best one liners. He’ll be missed by all his friends, Don Koeneke, Becky Perkins, Dennis & Jody Eckes, and of course his “money guy” Chris, to name a few.

Tim was an avid outdoorsman. Hunting Antelope, Deer, Elk & the odd Blue Grouse. He often embarked on long fishing excursions with friends to Canada & northern Montana. He enjoyed spending time with his brother Barry, wife Debbie, his Nephews Roy, wife Alyssa & his two chickadees MacKenzie and Pat, Bob, wife Andie, his two little buddies Ben and Lincoln, at his family cabin.

A small memorial for Tim will be July 17th at 11:00 am at the Rawlins Cemetery Pavilion reception following at Sinclair Washington Park.
