Wayne Kjelsrud

Wayne E. Kjelsrud, 52, of Rawlins passed away Feb. 26, 2016. He was born Mar. 14, 1963 in Evanston, WY to parents Betty A. (Fulmer) and Svein M. Kjelsrud. A Memorial Service will take place on Sat. Mar. 12, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Carbon County Funeral Home in Rawlins. Pastor Bryan Roberts will officiate. A reception with potluck dinner will follow at the V.F.W. in Rawlins. Wayne graduated from Rawlins High School in 1981 and had worked as a Corrections Officer at the WY State Penitentiary for 17 years. He was an avid sports fan, especially of football and wrestling. His is remembered as a loving and caring son, brother and uncle. Survivors include his sisters, Mona (Mike) Follis and Cindy (Kurt) Steffner; brother, Richard Kjelsrud; nieces and nephews, Kenneth Follis, Amber Follis, Autum Baker, Christopher Kjelsrud, Ryan Hamilton, Nicholas Kjelsrud, Kimberly Fowler, Michael Kjelsrud, Bryant Fowler, Richard Kjelsrud and Nathen Kjelsrud; and several great-nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Thora Kjelsrud; brother, Svein Kjelsrud, Jr.; and several aunts and uncles.
